I don't know, but I do think it's something worth telling the doctor who prescribed them. It could be that they simply aren't going to work with your body chemistry.
It's something I might discuss with my GP (who I'm seeing on Monday for ADD-related reasons) but the prescribing doctor was the guy on duty at the GP After Hours clinic at the hospital on Sunday night - he seemed nice, but I doubt I'll ever see him again.
I do get your point. *g* But I have My Doctor who's been My Doctor all my life, so I generally go to him. (Although I may be looking into a New Doctor since he's getting to be awkwardly far away to get to and is approaching retirement anyway.)
