So, I got a jury duty summons. To criminal proceedings. Which is terrible timing, because at a better point in my life, I'd love to. I think it would be fascinating.

However:

- Incompatible with my studies.

And also:

You are not permitted to serve as a juror if you:

- have any disease or infirmity of mind or body that will affect your ability to be a juror.


Which... I kind of do. While ADHD is on the list, now that I'm medicated I'd probably handle it. But the depression, and the PTSD - there's a range of criminal cases where I would be in emotional turmoil that would affect my ability to be a juror.

So, I need to work out how to phrase the statutory declaration and ask to be excused.
