Reading the list of charges for Australia's Most Hated Man, Brendan Sokulak - accused of lighting a fire that killed 21 people and destroyed a substantial chunk of Victoria - does have its element of black humour.

You look at the list of charges against him - a man who, on the arson matter alone, has people hurt by the fires (and there are many) wanting his blood in vengeance, who's in secret custody in order to keep him from being lynched, more or less - and it goes like this:

- arson causing death
- intentionally lighting bushfires

and...

- possessing child pornography

Because he just hadn't done enough to make people hate him.
