It really is. Plus I knocked my five-and-a-half-year-old tablet off its resting place and shattered the screen, a replacement that's actually like it is not available.

velithya spent most of a day researching options, and came up with iPad 6+Apple Pencil being the best-seeming available, but it turns out I find the iPad 6 to be unbearably hateful so we returned it and now I have a second-hand Surface Pro 3... which promptly Windowsed itself into a placemat (bit thin for a brick) and took a full day to fix.

I appreciate your sympathy because it is, indeed, unfair. It is so unfair it is JUST UNFAIR.
