HELLO!

So when I discovered you'd moved from LJ to Dreamwidth, and I didn't know what 'OpenID' or any of that other stuff meant, I just got into the habit of, every few days when I glance at my lj friends list, opening your journal as it seemed the easiest way to keep in touch. I couldn't comment on stuff, but whatever.

However, today (I'm imagining my friend Jess was NOT unexpectedly waiting on my doorstep when I got home at 10.30, and that I therefore got on to the internets then instead of now that it is tomorrow) is your BIRTHDAY, and wanting to comment to say HAPPY BIRTHDAY was enough to make me get off my posterior and Figure This Stuff Out. Because, you know, saying HAPPY BIRTHDAY when you sincerely hope someone is having a happy birthday is a good thing to be able to do. Turns out it's super duper easy. So I now have an open ID account with which to say hello.

So, hello. And happy birthday. I know I haven't seen you in quite a long time now, but just letting you know you're in my thoughts still, and I really do hope the coming year brings you all sorts of good things.

Also, I am about to eat a bowl of fruit salad in honour of your birthday, incidentally. Yum. Thank you :)
