I didn't, actually, but the second place I phoned had it in - EB Games on Hay St, just down from Carillon. They might still have some on Monday if you're wanting it. The guy said he'd almost sold out on Friday but then his stock guy came back with another 102 copies...
I got one, have been playing it, they may well still have some. :)
Ah EB Games was the one place I didn't check - I really don't like EB due to their focus on preorders and second hand games.
Ironic that they are the only place to have SC2 in stock that doesn't require a preorder.
Yeah I'm not a huge fan of EB Games but Gametraders wasn't going to have it in until next week and Sami didn't want to wait that long!

I know what you mean. I generally prefer to go to Gametraders (Carillon in particular because the dude who runs it is awesome) but they have a bit more focus towards consoles, and... yeah. EB actually had the game.
I figure I am okay with giving my custom to the company that was actually willing to stock it in large quantities. When I spoke to the guy at EB he said they were selling like hotcakes, and they came very *close* to selling out before their next load of stock arrived.
You'd think more stores would have figured out that StarCraft 2 was going to sell really a lot, given it's a sequel to a game that *still* sells TWELVE YEARS after it was released, and given that EB Games was actually willing to stock actual copies in large numbers.
Fair call.
It annoys me that you can buy it cheaper in stores than for a digital copy from the battle.net store (which obviously can't run out of stock, but is going for $90AUD; wtf).

Especially since you get stuff with the box version. Not a lot of stuff, sure - mostly just a booklet that contains an install guide and a detailed summary of the StarCraft/Brood War plot, but there's also a nifty little notepad with a Jim Raynor Wanted poster background - but still stuff.
(Oh, and a couple of guest passes to each of SC2 and WoW. But you know, whatever.)
Plus, you don't have to download eight gigs or whatever of install file...
