speaking as someone whose prior assocation with the name "Gary, Indiana" is a vague feeling I've heard it before

There's a song about Gary, Indiana in the musical The Music Man (the same one that has "We've got Trouble, Right Here in River City" and "76 Trombones Led the Big Parade" in it).
