Am waiting in the foyer/bar at the Blue Room Theatre for Tuesday In One Act to start. I have made arrangements with the house staff - I get to go in first and have a seat reserved where I can sit without risk of my shoulder injury being aggravated. Milo, the bartender, has hooked me up with some pineapple juice (no, this is not a euphemism) and I'm eagerly awaiting the play starting.
Yes, I am in fact sitting in the lobby of a small local theatre, waiting for a somewhat avant-garde play to start, typing on a EEE PC with a mobile broadband USB modem plugged in. I am, at this moment, looking like a total wanker. I acknowledge and accept this.
On the other hand, I also kind of love seeing live performances, so I like coming here really a lot, and my kneetop (smaller than a laptop) gives me something to do while I wait for the show to start.

I HAVE MY COMPUTER BACK
it's weeeird after getting used to using a EEE PC, it's so HUGE and BIG and also SHINY and AWESOME I love my computer
... that said, she adds, coming back later without having posted this entry yet:
The audio jacks are still fucking broken, and it's freezing up periodically for no reason I can detect. Fucking peachy.
*takes deep breath*
On the bright side, since it does at least boot, and so on, I can at least retrieve my data properly this time, before I have to let them take my computer again because it's STILL FUCKING BROKEN.
