Tonight I watched ![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif) harveystoat do some seriously brilliant standup. Tomorrow night, I'm going back - this time as ancillary crew, more or less. I'm going to be taking photos of the performance. (One of the Blue Room people even asked if they could maybe use one for the newsletter...) I'm really looking forward to it.
I shall be giving (copies of) the photos to John and co., though I've been assured I shall be given photo credit in the newsletter, etc. The way I see it, it's a fair tradeoff; they get pictures taken with high-grade camera gear and, I hope, at least moderate competence, I get to practice my Proper Photography. (That my work is at risk of being somewhat amateurish is, well, not a huge surprise, since I'm an amateur. But I'm pretty confident of getting at least a few good shots - the advantage of a digital camera being, of course, that I can cheerfully take hundreds.)
