1) My brain apparently tags information.
Reading a reference to a comment by a Liberal politician about objecting to the slaughter processes of halal meat, I had a vague thought about the degree of objectionability of kosher meat.
But on the nature of kosher slaughter practices, I had the following thought that, expressed in words, would be something like: "Note: Data is not reliable. Do not attempt to explain this to anyone else, do not allow this data to affect your view on anything important."
I had to think for a couple of minutes to work out why this information was flagged unreliable in my memory - it just was.
(I did remember why. It's because the description I've read of kosher slaughter ritual was in a Nazi propaganda pamphlet. As a student of history I've read a lot of propaganda documents. My memory of the contents is all apparently flagged as "questionable".)
2) How is it that Julia Gillard has reached the age of 49 without learning that a woman with very red hair, such as hers, should never, ever wear a bright red jacket? It clashes hideously and makes her look absolutely awful.
