Things to do: go through the early episode of Absolute Power that features a 2003-era Gareth Lloyd-David (with stylishly bleach-tipped hair) looking young and really rather hot.
Meanwhile, I remain kind of profoundly in love with both my new guitar and my new amp. (Nonetheless, if I play my electric guitar upstairs, I'll be doing so with my small, cheap, and not-very-good amp, because my good amp weighs a freakin' ton and nobody wants to cart it up and down stairs. The little one has the advantage of being light. (Of course, I still have my acoustic guitar to practice with.)
The 3/4 size guitar I got is cute and has a surprisingly good tone, but it's just about impossible for me to play cleanly, because I have grown-up sized fingers. It's fine, it's not FOR me.
I plan to take a whole bunch of carefully-stylish shots of my new gear when I get my good camera, because who am I to avoid combining my beloveds?
Today it's been very windy. Earlier this evening the wind was carrying the cheers from Subiaco Oval to our house amazingly strongly - as well as rattling the windows extensively, which it's still doing, somewhat. The Eagles (the home team) won by twenty points, it seems; explains the crowd's enthusiasm somewhat.
My guitar, it's so pretty.
Other things to do: get to bed early. Er, as early as is feasible given it's half past eleven and I am still downstairs unshowered etc. I'm exhausted - possibly to the point where I'll be a wreck for the next couple of days, as I suspect I may have pushed the limits of my body's coping capacity today. My whole body rather aches, and I may regret my adventurousness in the morning.
Still, I'm fairly satisfied with the day - the only things I was planning to buy that still needed to be sorted out are my camera (which I just need to pick up, selection and so on is all done with) and a powerboard (which I just forgot, but which shouldn't be too hard to arrange).
Definitely bed soon - I just had a delicious carrot snack.
