On the TV right now, the endlessly disconcerting-if-you-think-about-it-too-hard early relationship of Kermit and Miss Piggy is taking place. (The Muppet Show, 1x11, Peter Ustinov ♥.) In some early episodes, Miss Piggy (the pig) gets jealous of the frog's relationship with human women; in this one, Kermit is a bit jealous of Miss Piggy's crush on Peter Ustinov.
Peter Ustinov himself has serious comedy chops, for real. Currently he's being a series of national leaders of different countries. And also a robot. Bunsen is involved.
Anyway, this evening I'm cooking dinner, and undertook to do so under the constraints of "what's clean" and "what ingredients do we have", possibly modified by "... that I can find" - I wanted eggs and we don't seem to have any, but last time I thought we were out of eggs I was wrong, so.
What I did make: beef mince, lightly (very lightly, I want my brother-out-law/housemate Chas to find this edible) flavoured with herbs, squsihed into the bottom of a loaf tin, topped with thinly-sliced layers of potato lightly drizzled with olive oil. The top layer of potato is also flavoured with herbs, lower ones not (again, Chas). Tin is baking in the oven, covered over with foil to keep the top layer from crisping up and burning before the whole thing can cook thoroughly.
... wow, Peter Ustinov and Fozzie Bear just set up the most labored and agonising pun in history.
We're having dinner quite late tonight, but Chas and ![[personal profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/silk/identity/user.png) velithya are currently at the movies, so I can't exactly feed them earlier.
Am still working on learning guitar - currently I think my biggest problem is that I can't make chords fast enough. I also have a problem with my tendency to place one finger at a time - I need to be able to put my fingers down together, fast, in the right place... practice should get me there, I think.
Have also been working on assembling a website - domain is all registered, software is getting installed, it will contain... stuff. TBA. :D
